Students up to and including those enrolled in a college degree program may purchase $10 concert tickets* starting an hour and a half before the performance. With the animals tucked away safely for a long winter's night, the Zoo suddenly brightened with thousands of tiny lights. There were carolers singing and tasty treats, too.   Building Blocks of the Orchestra.

     Through our innovative Building Blocks program, ASO musicians interact with thousands of young students (grades Pre-K–3) annually in a school setting and introduce them to the instruments of the orchestra, laying a firm foundation for music appreciation. Presentations feature rotating chamber ensembles of ASO musicians, including a string quartet, woodwind quintet, and brass quintet, as well as individual percussion and harp demonstrations. Thanks to our generous funders, approximately 43 elementary schools will receive a fully-funded Building Blocks presentation during our 2024-2025 season!
